Welcome to Bridgemere CE Primary School and Nursery

As the Headteacher of Bridgemere CE Primary I would like to personally welcome you to our small, rural school. I have been in post since January 2021 and enjoy each day here with a dedicated staff team and happy children who are ready to learn.

Since being in post we have revised our Christian vision which is at the heart of everything we do.
'I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me' – Philippians 4v13
Pupils have recently commented how this vision supports them in their everyday life at school.
"It has helped me to be able to think I can do things that I find hard." – Year 3 pupil
"It encourages me to try my hardest." – Year 2 pupil
"Helps me to be resilient." – Year 5 pupil

Our recently revised Christian values drive our vision and we learn by the example of Jesus by acting these out in our everyday lives.
perseverance, creativity, trust, compassion, friendship, community, responsibility, thankfulness

Our curriculum educates the whole person with character development at the heart. We want to instil habits and reflective wisdom to ensure children can act freely and with creativity in the changing circumstances of life.

We are a busy but friendly school, with lots going on. This website aims to give you a taster of our unique rural school, as well as providing up to date information for parents, pupils and the wider community. We hope that you enjoy your visit to our website, and that you find the information you are looking for. Please feel free to contact the school directly if you require further information.

Although we are a growing school and now have over 90 pupils, we offer facilities which some larger schools do not e.g. a Before and After School club from 7:30am-6pm and a flexible Nursery where parents can 'buy' extra hours and lunchtime care. The school has the feel of a big family where everyone cares about everyone else.

We are situated south of Nantwich, in Cheshire East, on a rural country lane, with pheasants and horses as our neighbours, yet we are only 10 minutes drive from Nantwich and less from Audlem and Woore.

Our school is made up of four classes with two year groups in each class (Class 1 – Nursery and Reception, Class 2 – Year 1 and 2, Class 3 – Year 3 and 4, Class 4 – Year 5 and 6). Children at Bridgemere benefit greatly from our smaller class sizes across the school.

The children and staff are supported magnificently by the Friends of Bridgemere, our parents and friends who fundraise and arrange social events. The school also has a very supportive Governing Body.

Please feel free to contact us if you would like to visit.

'Pupils are happy to belong to this caring school that is at the heart of the local community. They know that staff care for them well. Strong relationships with staff help pupils, including children in the early years, to feel settled in school.' -Ofsted February 2024
